Happy New Years everyone.. Been on vacation trying to relax and get my mind on other things for the new year.. I'm excited for the outcome that I'm reaching to thus far. BIG things are about to happen for me and I can't wait. But for the mean time I've been sketching and been inspired by a person. Got me motivated to sketch out more ideas for other paintings. Here's a mock up of one of my paintings to come. Simple Photoshop work before processing it onto wood with Acrylic. ENJOY this year.. I know I will.

I've been out of the blogging scene for the moment. I've just got a job at Warner Bros working on a collaboration deal with the Consumer Products Department. I'm licensed to do most of the Looney Tunes and Tom N' Jerry art for all consumer good. I'm excited and blessed on this blessing. Before I got the job, I was working on a series of paintings of women on wood panel with Acrylics. I'm almost done with this first paint that I've been working on and off for the past couple of months.

I just did another single cover, YES! YES! It's was for a great friend of mine from Miami, Marcel Ledoux. He's a great vocalist and is making a come up in the music game. I was glad and humbled to work on this and others that are coming soon. His single is "Memories" and I think all of us that have been in a heavy, loving relationship in the past can relate to this song.

So I had a the honor to design some of my art onto my boy, Omarion.. It was fun getting an idea for all of these. I did 3 designs, one that's Tribal/Military, second that's is a gun and third and final piece is a Rolex. He only got two of the designs for right now. Check it out.

The Awakening Artwork

Im excited to be able to work on such a project like this one. The mixtape, The Awakening by Omarion came about when I get a call to work on unique project such as this. The concept was to bring in a new sound of music for the R&B world.. Omarion want to revive the genre to a new level. So by willing to do so on his part he wanted me to go about on pushing my views on the subject. He showed me some of the sculptures of the Awakening in wish is the piece of Zeus coming out of the ground. I put in a my take of it and twisted it to a modern situation. He's on a major street in LA coming out of a building.

The cover was a collaboration with a photographer and I worked with the fonts and background. It has sort of a "Thiller" theme to it. The tracklist piece was done with Gouache and Photoshop. The cover was done with ink, pencil, and Photoshop as well. This was a great experience for me as well as for Omarion and the rest of the Starworld Family.

HEY EVERYONE!!! It has been too long, but I'm back to give back some updates... I've been real busy for these past few months working on other projects besides my personal one. I'm truly humbled and blessed to be working in my own field of creativity. I've been doing more graphic design work than my Editorial or fine art work. But my style has been crossing into different cities such as my hometown Miami and New York. I just did a mixtape for a Miami artist, T-Baby. He had a chance to release his first of many mixtapes to the Hip Hop community. He asked me to do the art for the mixtape. I was pleased to head out and do what was best for this album. I gave it my world mixed with his... You can check him out on datpiff.com. The name is called The Neverending Story.

So I've been doing some digital work for the hell of it and Omarion was looking through my work that I was doing for fun. He knew I was in Miami for my art show and coming back to LA to cause a hurting for the music game. (With the Art, that is) So the craziness that I put around my people was what he wanted. We also needed more ideas for his blog/website. Well I worked on many pieces for the site and most was classic Mwanel stuff and some digital. He enjoyed every last piece. He even posted up the bottom piece as his profile pic, ranging fan-sites and blogs to go crazy on the net. He gave me a great look to the media.

Sean Cliver x Supreme – Summer 2010 Collection

The next major move for Supreme is a project with artist and occasional producer Sean Cliver. It stems into a pair of t-shirt designs and skate decks, something both parties are quite familiar with. In fact, Cliver had a huge part in forming the identities of World Industries and Birdhouse. The drop date is scheduled for this coming Thursday (June 10th) with a few additional releases from Supreme.

So everytime Im in Fullerton, I end up at my friends tattoo shop, Ace's High. They're a very cool group of artists that has a very chill atmosphere. My boy Jason aka Big J is my artist. Normally I come in to say hey or get inked up by him. He's a big fan of LA culture, with the Streetwear or Hip Hop or even sports. He has collect some of my art and has kept them in his shop. Yesterday, I rolled by to drop off two more editions to the bunch.. He's all about the 80's Lakers. Erving "Magic" Johnson and Kareem "Hook Shot" Abdul- Jabbar was some of his favorite ball players that he like growing up. So I had to do something about it. Check it out.

Well, I had this idea about how people can see sounds by the way of music and ordinary thing that is used within our daily lives. My theory came from N.E.R.D.'s latest album Seeing Sounds. I loved the story behind the album and used the same theory from a artist's mind like myself. I used the same qualities as of a musician and dancer would use as when they hear music. The term of "seeing sounds" is called "Synaesthesia". It's when you can envision a sound with a color that can only be triggered in your brain. I used my cousin and incredible dancer Jian Pierre-Louis as my model. I hope you guys like it. It's a spread.... yessir!!!!!!

Life just got a little bit more interesting. I'm working with Omarion, the R&B singer and friend of mine, with his new album and other projects. I've been super busy with that, school and also on some new shirt designs for Natures Mistake.

so... I added a few more elements to these pieces and found out that these can be published right on the spot if I play my cards right. These can probably be in VIBE or the Source Magazines... I'm really humbled by the remarks that everyone has given me. I enjoy playing around with color and content alot..... so, here's the finals of the two pieces.
